On Stuff and Things
Final Major Project
On Stuff and Things’ is an experimental editorial zine that presents three academic viewpoints on the concept of our belongings. I want to bring my own enthusiasm and passion for collecting to celebrate the value of objects as someone who enjoys trinkets and artefacts. I want to inspire others to appreciate their own objects and the inspiration they might provide if considered a little deeper than simply material. I wanted to stretch my own design boundaries and make something different from what you may expect from a book about stuff: re-imagining objects in various conceptual forms.
Gwaith golygyddol arbrofol yw ‘On Stuff and Things’ sy’n cyflwyno tri safbwynt academaidd ar gysyniad ein heiddo. Rydw i am ddod â’m brwdfrydedd a’m hangerdd fy hun ynghylch casglu i ddathlu gwerth gwrthrychau fel rhywun sy’n mwynhau tlysau ac arteffactau. Rydw i am ysbrydoli eraill i werthfawrogi eu gwrthrychau eu hunain a’r ysbrydoliaeth y gallent ei gynnig os cânt eu hystyried ychydig yn ddyfnach na deunydd yn unig. Roeddwn i eisiau ymestyn fy ffiniau dylunio fy hun a gwneud rhywbeth gwahanol i’r hyn y gallech ei ddisgwyl o lyfr am drugareddau: ail-ddychmygu gwrthrychau mewn gwahanol ffurfiau cysyniadol.





Window to The World
D&AD Competition
This is a collaborative project with Evie Smith that was submitted to the D&AD: New Blood competition. Our chosen brief was for Netflix: create a compelling campaign to persuade UK viewers to interact more with international material, particularly within the Netflix collection. I was primarily responsible for animated and moving media. International material is frequently overlooked by Netflix customers in the United Kingdom, with the recommended algorithm accounting for over 80% of all consumed content. Consumers are often turned off by dubbing and subtitles, according to our primary research. Knowing this, we were inspired by the exploratory and experimental nature of film festivals and the bold colour of culture for our concept – Netflix is: Window To The World.
